  • Monitoring Attendance

Grounded Behavioral Health offers both live online courses as well as pre-recorded on-demand homestudy courses.

To monitor attendance, a number of strategies will be used:

    • Each live program will ask polling questions that will be shown throughout the presentation. Participants will be required to respond to each polling question to confirm attendance.

For homestudy/on-demand courses, each program will have several "pop up" questions, unrelated to the content being presented, that participants will need to answer as part of their post-test.

    • For live courses, attendance will also be reviewed by the log-in data available in the virtual platform at the end of the presentation.

    • Participants are strongly encouraged to leave their video on during the presentation to enhance the learning experience, connect with others, and to monitor attendance.

    • Participants will be requested to use a digital signature attesting to their attendance of the program.

    Potential Absences

Partial credit cannot be awarded if participants do not complete their entire course. The following options will be offered for those who have absences that prevent completion of a live course:

    • Participants will be offered the option of repeating the program at a later date.

    • Participants will be offered the option of a partial or full refund.

    • If available, participants will be offered the option of completing an asynchronous, homestudy version of the program. Any differences in the homestudy option will be explained, including any differences in learning strategies due to a lack of opportunities for live interaction as well as differences in the number of credits offered.

  • Participants will be awarded one continuing education credit for each hour of the course.

Variable or partial credit will not be awarded if learners do not attend the entire course.

Participants will be given an post-test at the conclusion of the course. Learners will need to score 75% to pass. Learners will be given three opportunities to achieve this passing score.

At the conclusion of a successful post-test, learners will be sent a certificate to document attendance.

    This certificate will include:

    • The name and date of the activity

    • The number of continuing education credits earned

    • A signature from the organization verifying attendance

Grounded Behavioral Health will verify awarding of CE credit for three years following completion of the program.

    • The course may be submitted for review by a committee of peers not involved in the development to ensure the absence of bias in content

    • The course may be offered, but not for continuing education credit
